ABOUT THE SHOW:
Ever dance with the Devil in the pale moonlight?
Let’s get geeky AND funky with Batman, the Joker, and Prince!
Jump in the way back machine to 1989. A quieter time, when superhero movies were few and far between. That was the year that Batman and the Joker made cinematic history with a gritty Gotham City, as imagined by an up-and-coming film director named Tim Burton. Prince went all in, curating an entire album inspired by the film itself, including sampling dialogue on various tracks.
An epic soundtrack needs an equally epic cast: headlining the show are Iva Handful from Seattle and Ginger Snaps from Austin, TX, and features PNW luminary Lola Cocquette! The cast also includes Lavish Leone, Viper, Bee Bee Sanchez, Nick Lacy, and the drag, dance, clown experience of FouFouHa Portland!
Prince’s groundbreaking soundtrack to the film will be performed in its entirety and given the full burlesque and drag treatment! This show will have it all Batman, Bruce Wayne, Vicki Vale, and of course the Joker.
Querencia produces theatrical dance performances featuring a mix of styles from jazz to burlesque. Querencia is committed to producing theatrical dance and variety acts to express the diversity of the human experience.
