ADULT PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
Echo Theater Company supports three adult performance companies, as well as hosting a quarterly community performance opportunity in the form of Schrödinger’s Circus.
Learn more about each opportunity:
Let your act out of the box! Bring your new act or a work in progress to our stage for an informal evening of fun -- Schrödinger’s Circus will give you a chance to turn performance potential into actuality as you tumble, fly, or dance in front of an audience who can give you supportive feedback on your performance.
All movement arts are welcome. Bring yourself and your props, invite some friends, and experience a night of art and community! Audience members are encouraged to participate in the artistic process by filling out feedback sheets. The act of observing may change the results!

PopRock is a performance ensemble centering Disabled adults (18+). PopRock meets for two hours a week to explore and play with the goal of producing an original performance. PopRock is directed by Aaron Wheeler-Kay, a certified Master Instructor in the DanceAbility Method, a modality for teaching dance to all bodies. Rehearsals are supported by assistant directors with caregiving and performance backgrounds.
PopRock shows are made by exploring the interests and skills of the ensemble using Disability inclusive practices and approaches. The most important thing PopRock members share is an interest and desire to explore performing. The audition involves an hour of group exercises followed by an opportunity for attendees to share any talent or performance skill with the group (Singing, magic, comedy, dance, lip synching, whatever you love to share with an audience.) Current members of PopRock will be participating in the audition and selection process. ALL BODIES WELCOME!
